Special Assignments

Special Assignments is an individualized achievement plan for boys and girls. The purpose of this plan is to provide an avenue for children to engage in a deeper understanding of missions through learning, praying, giving, doing, and going. Either once a month or quarter leaders are encouraged to lead children in a Special Assignment.

Special Assignments can be used as a part of Children in Action, or as a supplement to any children's group or homeschool classroom.

Leaders choose assignments from Children in Action: Special Assignments. These assignments include: praying for missions, giving to missions, learning about missions, doing missions, my church and missions, growing in missions and the Bible and missions. Assignments are designated for individuals or groups.

Children are encouraged to create an Investigative Reports Notebook to keep record of their Special Assignments. The book also includes a CD-ROM with reproducible handouts, missionary biographies, and how-to guides for making everything from costumes to maps.

Leaders may choose to give award pins to children at the end of the year for completing specific assignment or series of assignments. A lanyard is a available to display award pins. For more information, purchase Children in Action: Special Assignments.
