Promote
Meet with your pastor and/or children's minister to explain the organization and resources that will be needed. Gain their support and pray together. Win church leaders' and parents' support for starting Children in Action.

Prepare

Order copies of Children in Action Leader for each leader. Recruit potential leaders by visiting one-on-one. Prepare leaders to teach by using the training tools on this Web site. Additional consulting and training helps are available at your state WMU office.

Publicize

Begin promoting Children in Action six to eight weeks before it begins. Use your church's bulletin or newsletter and bulletin boards/posters.

Pioneer

Start your first Children in Action session with prayer. Keep children busy the whole session learning about missions. Congratulations, and have a great first year!
